How I Work
What to expect in our work together
My work is relational, psychodynamic, and collaborative. I’m interested in understanding not just what’s bringing you to therapy, but the patterns, relationships, and past experiences that may be shaping how you feel and move through the world.
At the same time, I don’t think understanding yourself is the whole point. Therapy should also help you feel better in your actual life. Alongside deeper exploration, we might work on managing big emotions, communicating more clearly, navigating conflict, setting boundaries, or figuring out how to feel more grounded in yourself and your relationships.
I’m an active and engaged therapist, which means I won’t just sit back and nod. I’ll ask questions, point out patterns, and sometimes challenge you when I think it could be helpful. Some sessions are deep and emotional, some are more practical, and sometimes we’ll laugh a lot.
I believe having a high quality, trusting therapeutic relationship is the main driver of success.
